Sieves Slides

There are many times when it is necessary to unload sieves from your sifter. Routine inspections, maintenance, quality checks and repairs can all necessitate the removal and reinstallation of a sieve stack. With all handling of sieves, there is a risk of accidental damage. Sieve slides serve to mitigate this risk by facilitating a smoother process for sieve removal and reinstallation. We offer a variety of sieve slides to fit the specific requirements for your sieves.

Features

The Sieve Slide is designed to assist in the sieve removal process. Constructed from PVC, each durable sieve slide is specially designed to fit the unique shape of the Great Western sieve for which it is built.

The Summit Sieve Slide is provided specifically for those utilizing the Summit Sieve within their sifter(s). Great Western custom builds each Summit Sieve Slide to suit the specifications of your Summit Sieves’ dimensions. With multiple sieve sizes available, this can vary. The properly sized Summit Sieve Slide will provide full ease of use for any operator.

Operations

When removing sieves for inspection, maintenance, or repair, the sieve slide is inserted between the uppermost sieve and that which is below. Once fully locked into place, the slide can be pulled back towards the operator with the upper sieve in tow, allowing it to be removed from the stack without risk of tipping or damaging the screen below. The process can be reversed in order to securely replace sieves back into the stack as well.

The Sieve Slide is built to match the specifications of your sieve stack. Summit Sieve Slides are built to fit Summit Sieve dimensions from 24 11/16” to 30 7/8”. Please contact your Great Western Representative to request more information about your specific requirements.
