GyroSift Sifter

Designed for applications requiring smaller screen areas and up to three separations, the GyroSift 34 and GyroSift 36 are available with a support frame for floor mounting or suspension from your structure. Both can be adapted with different sieve amounts and types to match your process requirements.

Features

The GyroSift is custom designed and built for screening any dry, free-flowing product ranging in size from 0.25 to 0.0025 inches. It is an economical machine designed for applications requiring smaller screen areas.  A gentle gyratory sifting action provides accurate separation and sizing of the product.

GyroSift GS34

Utilizing 34” square sieves the GS34 can be supplied with three different sieve construction types:

  • Modular Interlocking Sieve

Designed for stapled-on screen attachment with intercrimp backwire and a sloped stainless-steel pan. 3.9 ft² per sieve.

  • NOVA Interlocking Sieve

The unique design of the NOVA sieve eliminates the sieve backwire and is designed only for mechanically stretched and glued-on screens. 5 ft² per sieve.

  • Stainless Steel Sieve

For the utmost in sanitation, the stainless-steel sieve can be provided with glued-on screens or with mechanical screen attachment. 4.7 ft² per sieve.

Depending on the application and type of sieve selected, up to five sieves can be used. Each sieve features an easily removed screen tray design that enables quick changeovers, screen replacement, and thorough access to the sieve interior for cleaning.

GyroSift GS36

The GS36 can have up to three 36” (914 mm) diameter stainless steel sieves. The all-stainless steel product contact areas and Snap-On food grade rubber gaskets offer the utmost in sanitary design. Trays with mechanically stretched screens provide optimum screen tension.

The simple V-belt drive and counterweight assembly ensure the sifter speed and circle provide the best separation performance for product from flakes to fine powders.

The sifter speed is 290 rpm and has an Ø2” circle.

Operations

Both the GyroSift 34 and GyroSift 36 can be floor-mounted or ceiling-suspended.

The sifter’s rotating sieve frames are mounted in a sanitary tubular steel drive frame. The machine opens easily for inspection, cleaning, and maintenance.  The sieve frames are nested one on top of the other.  The stack of sieves is held tightly together by a clamping system.

Each sieve frame used in a GyroSift Sifter holds a removable tray with sieve screening material. The screens are attached to the frames using one of three methods: stapled attachment, mechanical (looped-edge) attachment, or glued-on attachment. Screen cleaners unplug product from the screen openings. Gaskets seal the sieves and trays.

The sifter is operated via a motor mounted below the sieve stack. This motor propels a counter-balancing weight to produce the gyratory motion.

The sieve stack is clamped with 3 Draw Rods. This clamping system ensures compression while the machine is in operation.

The GyroSift has been assembled, balanced, and tested at the factory prior to shipping. The sifter may be cleaned through dry brushing and/or air cleaning.
