Fixed Tray Sieve

Fixed tray sieves are designed with the screen tray built as part of the sieve itself. This provides increased durability throughout the entire sieve stack and reduced necessity for gasket seal. The resulting construction is a highly reinforced, low-wear and leak-free sieve Customizations are available to further increase the durability of this sieve design making it an ideal sieve for harder and more abrasive materials.

Fixed tray sieves are available in natural wood or laminated wood. The natural wood frames can be stainless steel lined (interior) or faced (exterior protection). Screens are stapled-on to the integral tacking frame.

  • Self-contained – Presents no risk of leaks around a removeable insert, and thus a lower risk of contamination due to wear.
  • Easily removed from the sifter for maintenance or inspection.
  • Lining and facing options provide reinforcement and increased durability as needed.

For Fixed Tray Sieves, maintenance and screen repair must be performed proactively. Because the screen is an integral part of the sieve construction, there is no insert to remove. Therefore, access to the screen’s backwire, and pan compartment beneath it, is limited. It is necessary that sieves be maintained in optimal conditions as screens can only be replaced if the wooden tacking surface of the sieve remains in good condition. Once this area becomes too worn, screen replacement is no longer possible, and the entire sieve must be replaced.
