Combination cleaners are used in sieves such as the NOVA sieve and the Summit Sieve. These sieves do not have a screen tray that is separated from the sieve pan with a backwire, and thus do not have cleaners designated for the pan and screen, separately. Instead, these sieves use uniquely designed combination cleaners, whose shape and material enable them to clean both pan and screen. This ensures optimal material flow without blockage or backup while reducing the number of small parts within the product zone.
For screen mesh under 300µ a gentler combination cleaner is used, with fine brushes facing the screen, and sturdy knobs facing the pan. For screen mesh over 300µ, combination cleaners with knobs along both sides are used.
